Exciting Progress on the Trail—and a Request

Last week the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) issued its 2026 Work Plan, which includes $600,000 in funding for coordination and design for part of the Casco Bay Trail. This covers 9.4 miles of trail between Portland and Yarmouth—a big step forward!

My name is _____________ and I live in _____________ (city/town). I support the Casco Bay Trail and I’m glad the Portland-to-Yarmouth design phase is included in the 2026 Transportation Improvement Plan. I’m looking forward to completion of the entire 72-mile loop.

We will reach out with more city- and town-specific action items in the following weeks and months. Thanks to all who are able to send support!
