Tonight, nearly 90 community members gathered in North Yarmouth for a screening of PBS’s From Rails to Trails and we are feeling inspired and incredibly grateful.
From Portland to Auburn to Freeport, people came together because they believe in the vision of the Casco Bay Trail—a safe, connected, off-road route linking our communities for biking, walking, commuting, and exploring.
The film reminds us that what may begin as an abandoned rail corridor can become something transformational: a place for families, neighbors, and generations to move, connect, and thrive. Across the country, communities have turned possibility into reality. And so can we.
We are a small organization with a big vision and nights like tonight show us that this vision belongs to all of us.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked questions, shared ideas, and showed their support. This is how trails are built: one conversation, one partnership, one community at a time.

The work continues and we’re so glad you’re on this journey with us. 🚲🌲
